Flooding Colorado Bridges Need Repair

DENVER — 120 state bridges need repair after flooding last month, says the Colorado Department of Transportation .

The department reviewed inspections of 491 bridges on the state highway system, and determined that 120 need repairs.

Thirty Five state bridges remain closed.  They are:

–      SH 7 from Lyons to Estes Park, 6 bridges (all damaged)

–      SH 72 in Coal Creek Canyon, 4 bridges (all damaged)

–      US 34 from Loveland to Estes Park, 19 bridges (11 damaged, 8 are not)

–      US 36 from Lyons to Estes Park, 6 bridges (all damaged)
